The fishermen are fetched from the Hotel at 8:30/9 AM in order to reach the Limay River, taking 45 minutes. There are 45km of natural river. You can choose from daily which are about 15km long, where rainbow trout and brown trout are to be found. The fishing is done on drift boats which accommodate two fishermen stopping from time to time so as to fish from the shore. The fly fishing equipment should be selected according to the climatic conditions. At mid-day, there is a break for lunch in a pleasant spot under the trees. The menu consists of a tray with a selection of delicatessen (ham, cheese, salami,...) wine, cold meats, salads and fruit. The excursion lasts about 10hs during which time there also snacks and hot beverages to be had. The outings can take place on three consecutive days without going over the same area. It is advisable to consult your guide as to the specific fishing equipment needed for the occasion. Fishermen consider this river one of the most beautiful to be found in Patagonia. The Limay River means in Indian language "Clear water", as the headwaters emerge from Nahuel Huapi Lake. The outstanding characteristic of the Limay River, which makes it unique, is that it offers a wide range of techniques, according to the time of the season: in its to spawn. In the summer resident trout are to be found. In autumn, the big brown trout repeat the same process as the rainbow trout.

When the season opens and closes great nymphs and streamers must be used at the mouth of the rivers and brooks, and during the summer season dragon flies on floating lines. Fishing on lakes can be very different and entertaining. Rainbow, brown and brook trout are to be found. At mid-day, there is a pause for lunch and relaxation on the coast under the trees. The repast consists of a dish with a selection of ham, cheese and salami, cold meats with salads and fruit for dessert. Wine and soft drinks are included. This excursion last about 10hs and snacks, as well as hot beverages are offered.

Fishing excursion to Caleufu River (only March, April and May)
The fishermen are picked up between 8:30/9 AM and depart towards Caleufu River, approximately 2 hours away. Depending on the water level, this specific river is at its best from March to May 31st. As this is a steppe river, one has to wade it to reach the different fishing spots, which is rather tireing. On the way one can observe local wild life such as dear, boars and ñandues. Depending on the occasion, fishing in this river requires either the use of sinking tip, or floating lines with nymphs, or dry flies. At mid-day, there is a pause for lunch and relaxation on the coast under the trees. The repast consists of a dish with a selection of ham, cheese and salami, cold meats with salads and fruit for dessert. Wine and soft drinks are included. LIMAY MEDIO RIVER
This section is about 30 miles long and is called the river of monsters because one can obtain residing rainbow trouts 30 inches long or residing brown weighing 5 Lb. It receives numerous tributaries from the andean range in the province of Neuquen. Its wates are calm, has pronounced runs and its bends are broad. Normally one comes accross deep pools, high cliffs and large beaches. We must also take into account one of its outstanding lures: it is miles from any touristic center. It is an ideal river on which you can drift for several days and camp, unmolested, in pristine surroundings.
COLLON CURA RIVER
It is 20 miles long. It originates from the confluence of the Alumine River. Its bed is comprised of small boulders and its calm waters run through a broad valley. It starts at the mouth of Lake Huechufalquen and flows over 33 miles Beautiful brown and rainbow trout are to be found here. It is not an easy river as it often totally disappears under a laberinth of weeping willow trees. It is a superlative fly fishing stream.
ALUMINE RIVER
This river which originates in the Alumine lake and flows over 65 miles, is turbulent, stony and has beautiful pools. In its lower course, one can float along side high cliffs, over deep pools or long flats. Most of the trouts are rainbow but brown can also be found in a lesser degree.

   
 
 
 
CHIMEHUIN RIVER
It starts at the mouth of Lake Huechulafquen and flows over 32 miles. Beautiful brown and rainbow trout are to be found here. It is not an easy river as it often totally disappears under a laberinth of weeping willow trees. It is a superlative fly fishing stream.
ESCONDIDO LAKE
A small mountain lake, 800mts above sea level, inmerse in the valdivian forest with a hughe variety of species relating to this damp region. Though not of easy access, fishing here becomes an unforgettable experience due to the grandeur of the landscape and the opportunity of fishing from the raft magnificent rainbow trout, using floating lines and dry flies.
PICHI LEUFU RIVER
This is a typical Patagonian steppe river which forms deep ravines. One comes accross impressive rock formations caused by the rain and the wind. Generally one finds brown and rainbow trout weighing up to 1 lb.
 
 
 
MALLEO RIVER
Its pure and crystalline waters proceed from lake Tromen which is replenished with the melting snow from the Lanin Volcanoe (3747mts). While fishing, one can enjoy the view of this imposing volcanoe wich separates us from Chile. One also comes accross a unique forest of pines called Araucarias (Puzzle monkey trees), only to be found here. The fishing ground is in the Mapuche Indian Reservation. There are plenty of brown and rainbow trout which can weigh up to 5 Lb.
CORRENTOSO LAKE
An incredible blue tinted lake forming part of the Nahuel Huapi and Limay River watershed. One can hare access to it embarked to divers spectacular rivers as well as to breathtaking bays that yield to best rainbow, brown and brook trout imaginable.
NAHUEL HUAPI LAKE
Nahuel Huapi is the largest lake to be found in this National Park. It posseses important inlets and numerous mountain streams which descend on its coast. One of these, the Correntoso River, is internationally famous. One can catch good size rainbow brown and brook trouts.
